A fine day in history, the day of my birth.

that’s right, i’m 27 and proud.

Amanda's Garden Party*

i have come to find that growing older is grand.

i feel like my perspective on life has changed and developed so much these past few years that being older has a new appeal to it.

you see things through new eyes as you add another year to your life.

i understand and respect my parents more than ever.
i listen differently, more intently, to people and those around me than i ever did before.
i see god in a new light and am more in love with him than years past.
i am learning to love in a deeper way.

so many new things how can you not embrace age?

just over a week ago we had a party to celebrate of course, another thing that gets better, parties! we decided to have a Garden Party. my cousin Cassandra Monster (yes that’s really her last name =) myself and of course my mother, threw some fabulous yummies, decorations, and well thought out details together and a grand party it was!

thank you all who came, helped and celebrated, it was a great day!

*the pictures below will give you a bit of an idea of the fun we had! *

I love it! I don’t know that I am as excited to grow older as you are….though i do recognize the same changes happening in my own life. It truly is a right of passage, getting older. Love the pictures and the excitement of parties for the future. Who said parties should be less festive with age! 🙂 I just hope I can be there for number 28…:) love you
